Closest ICE car I can even think is 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo S
2021 Porsche Taycan Turbo S
Price: $187,400
0- 60: 2.6 seconds
I have Model 3 Performance and can tell you for sure the instant power is hard to beat. Its a huge achievement of automotive engineering for sure.

0-60 is also only a single metric for speed so calling it the fastest production car from that is subjective. Bugatti and other hyper cars have much higher top speeds which you could also measure.
Also the plaid only reaches that 0-60 speed with A LOT of caveats. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2021/06/2...index.html
Well, In my memory, I've smoked some Chevy Corvettes and Camaros like SS, ZL1 models with V8 Hemi engine or what not with my Tesla not even a Plaid model.
They all appeared in my rear view mirror. The drivers in those cars can defiantly fill the heritage with regrets unless they are so emotionally attached to their cars.

You also missed my post where I said I did not know Taycan is an EV and that's my bad.
Imo, Tesla is the new iPhone - people willing to pay lot more for perceived benefit as well as as an ornament. It is a show off purchase within my friends circle.
1. Own a home and have dedicated parking for charging
2. Have a home charger (have a 220V 60A)
3. Have solar
Ibeen EV owner since 2014 with the Nissan Leaf, 2x, Chevy Bolt and now Model Y. I don't use SC, only keep it as just in case and always charge at home. Love EVs as a daily car and not buying another ICE car. Do have ICE vehicle but uts a Class B camper van we use for roadtrips, technically my home/office on wheels.

She then becomes enamored by the Model S, so she sells the C-300 and pays ballpark 8k to get one. This was right before the previous price decrease, which was only a few months ago. She hates it. Cool technology, no gas, but she misses her Mercedes deeply (regardless of the price cut she barely missed).
Moral of the story: if you're interested in a Tesla, be sure to test drive it first and understand what the tradeoffs are. Additionally, wait as long as humanly possible to get it, because a huge price decrease can very well just be around the corner.
I'd personally recommend not getting one at all, though.
