It looks like they cut prices on the Model X and Model X Plaid. The base Model X now sells for $79,990 while the Plaid now sells for $89,990. All color options are included too. It also seems as if it might now qualify for a tax credit.

Edit: Model S prices were slashed too.

Model S base model $74,990
Model S Plaid $89,990

We bought a used 2018 75D X early last year for the same price as a new one now. I sorta feel like as if I invested in bitcoin. Resale value just tanked for sure.
Same for us and almost anyone I know. Tesla take care of their customers… sorry that came out wrong. Tesla cares to take their customers money.

I have a question. What happens 3 or 4 years down the line when the battery health is down like the phones we use. Do you pay to get the batteries replaced or is there some kind of coverage? Been wanting to get an EV but holding myself back thinking what happens next.
Not an issue. 10 year old S and abused battery supercharging 90% of the time. Down 10% in range from purchase.
Pretty damn good I'd say.

Yes, it sucks for those who bought these cars earlier (I own 2 X's and an S and 2 roadsters).
But it's like someone who owns a stock saying "I lost" or "I made" $X today without selling the stock.
Means nothing. Prices will go back up as soon as Elon has decided the competition has had their heads bashed in enough.
It can also incentivize people to upgrade from a 2021 or 2022 right now.

Unfortunately the auto insurance is very expensive. I got a quote from Allstate in CA for this car at $1,000 deductible and it came out to $490/month and that's with all of my discounts (distinguished driver, bundled, etc.).
If you use the tesla insurance, I pay $245 a month and my "driving score" is around 85.

Did you rent a Model x at $40 per day or a Model 3?
Then charging was free or paid?
Model 3. You have to return the vehicle at 70% and pay for charging yourself but I found a free charger near the cell phone waiting lot at the airport.

Westchester County Airport

$40

Roll the dice and just pick managers special they'll just give you the model 3 or better: see pic

Plaid for $90k is an absurd bargain. Total cost of ownership not much higher than a normal family sedan since there's no gas or real maintenance. For that you get about the highest performing and fasted passenger vehicle ever made.
And no depreciation at this price point

I didn't know they offered insurance. That's good to know. What state are you in?

There's a glut of salvage run and drive teslas I'm willing to pick one up for under $5k. Finding one in good shape for that price would actually make it a Slickdeal.

Bruh! For real, I'm wondering the same.
