Runs on AC but need to charge from a DC outlet.
There is an AC to AC connection cable for short trips but right now they only sell 100'. I saw a YouTube video where a guy made his own 1000' cable. Pretty cool.
Don't agree with the fact that it is garbage car. Apparently Y and 3 are top selling EV's in many places in the world.

For me, I'm trying to hold out as long as I can before the year's end to see if they'll drop the price further. I'm not uploading my registration details yet although I did reserve it. I'm not in a hurry to need it right this month or next month, and would rather pick it up in December in case Tesla makes any changes to 2024 models.
Rumors have it that the 2024 Model X will have new ambient lighting (LED strip like the new Tesla Model 3 Highland) and a front bumper camera, but we'll see what happens.
Also, make sure you get the Matrix headlights, not the reflector beam headlights. They're a new generation that was just released in June 2023 builds, on but who knows? They might be using older parts hanging around.
The tax credit simply reduces the amount of taxes the car buyer owes. It's non-refundable so unlike some other tax credits you can't "save" any more than YOU personally owe.
It takes nothing from other tax payers.
