Best price I could find on this model was $699.99 on eBay.

That said, this model is > 3.5 years old (released Jan 2020). Many of the features seem targeted to wannabes (stealth mode, kill switch, night vision mode). As a veteran of the combat arms I wouldn't be caught dead wearing it.

While it's always good to have a new website to add to my merchant bookmarks the prices on the GovX website was all over the place. Most of the prices I saw were around 15% higher than the Amazon price. While they have all the, "tactical" models they didn't have any of the Garmin aviation watches.

I actually agree about their prices being all over the place. I was really surprised to see this one for such a low price. But I guess since it's been out for a few years now, it kind of makes sense. I actually ordered this one since I've been in the market for a while now. I'm tired of my Apple Watch battery barely lasting a day and I really like the garmin fitness oriented tech. I could honestly care less about those "tactical" features. I just wanted a nice looking fitness oriented watch with a larger display without paying for a top of the line fenix. And as I was writing this response, I just saw that cabelas has the Fenix 6x pro solar for 449.99 after a $50.00 discount for first responders plus you can get 3% back with urlhasbeenblocked. So I just ordered that one too and I guess I'll compare both when I get them and make a decision. I think I like the solar feature on the fenix which I don't believe is available with the tactix. I see I just missed out on the fenix being on sale for 399.99.

Yeah I just saw that too. More than I really wanted to spend though. I do like the flat bezel on the tactix but I will never use those "tactical" features.
