Same. I loved ProX size and form factor but win32 emulation sucked and even chrome browsing which is what I was doing the most on it was too laggy.

The upside is the include LTE modem but the lag was just too annoying. Now I am using a dell 7440 ultralight with 5G. So much better but expensive

Win32 and x64 emulation indeed sucks. But native app use doesn't. By now, with Edge + Office, covers like 90% use case of regular users.

It's X55 modem. Is it locked to Verizon?
According to the old pcmag review it was locked The listing says unlocked. Maybe ask them to see if they tested on other carriers.

If edge use yes. Windows 11 ARM works fine Chrome users will hate it. Does not have native arm support. You can download a separate build but it looks and acts very different than native windows chrome to me

One issue I had with arm64 chrome is that it doesn't show the tabs. You have to click an icon to see open tabs. That was annoyed and made it slow for me to switch between them. I need chrome because I use Multiple chrome profiles with diff extensions and I do this on multiple computers and I don't feel like building out a whole edge counterpart for it.

Windows on Arm is even worse than Chromebook/Android on Arm. Unless you can run Linux on this thing (which you probably won't), you'll pretty much be stuck on the web browser.
finding zero tutorials on running linux on this... seems to be locked into windows.

Thanks for doing the research. Been wanting an ARM laptop that's easier than Asahi

Those Snapdragon 8cx devices can be upgraded to Windows 11 with Android 13 emulation.

The situation is like Chrome OS. Even if they will stay on W11, they might actually get longer support than real Android tablets.
Windows is preferable to chrome os tbh. Google isn't trustworthy with software longevity.

All it takes is a Google meeting to see low sale numbers, then chromeos goes the way of android tablets. Microsoft may be a bit of a ripoff but they can at least keep their product supported.

Can't speak for the actual device but Windows on Arm is way underated and is glossed over by "it sucks." Bottom line, if you are an average user (that do not require more in-depth apps), a general MS Office-user, Windows on ARM is great. Heck, I even run Photoshop on it.

It's Chromebook in other words. Can't go wrong with the specs and 5G. Bought one, it's no brainer.

My Epson printer driver itself not supported on ARM laptop, disappointing
Windows 11 will automatically install compatible drivers, but I understand wanted the full featured drivers especially when needing scanning features.

Honestly, I wish all laptops came with ARM build like this. 99% of what I do involves a browser anyway, Chrome or Edge, doesn't matter.

ARM offers superior battery life, lighter build quality and superior 5G chipset.

If Google doesn't offer a Chrome ARM build, let it be. It means less reliance on Google services.

I have a cheap $10 Tablet/PC plan from T-Mobile ( it's $15 now ) and was looking for an ARM PC with 5G and decent performance. This Lenovo laptop is fantastic for my use!

Unless you really need the battery life I would think that a used ThinkPad would be a better bet.

Cheap laptop with good screen and good battery life. Remote into your desktop for proper usage. Easy win.
400nitts is not a good screen. This is supposed to be ultraportable so why isn't the disblay sunlight visible?
