Baldurs Gate is a great game and a better RPG, but Starfield is a great game as well. You wont be missing out with either game.

I much prefer the sci-fi space theme of Starfield over the fantasy D&D of Baldurs Gate

The us versus them mentality, especially when it comes to games, has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. Baldur's gate 3 and starfield are both fun games from critically acclaimed companies. Have any of you ever heard of playing both of them? Shocking, I know.

I'm about two hours into this game and it feels like I'm playing Doom 3 BFG Edition all over again.

The NPCs say the same old cliche "the company sucks" and "go away newbie" lines like in every freaking space game ever.

Willing to wait for the necessary patches and price drop in a few months.
The cheapskate in me rarely pays more than $20 for pc games.

Get past level 10 and the game really opens up. Many people playing first few hours are thinking - isn't this just Fallout? But its so much more.

I agree, but for this to hit $20 its going to be a few years. I am still waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 to have a good sale.

Love Bethesda games, but I feel like I may be burned out on them. Not really anything innovative in starfield, just fallout in space. Some will love that, but as someone who expected more I was disappointed. Still can't believe Microsoft paid 11ty billion to buy BGS and make this exclusive to Xbox. The game is good but nothing special like Elden Ring was.

This is true for me as well. I really prefer the sci-fi worlds for whatever reason. I always figured that's why I enjoyed Fallout 3 and Fallout 4, but couldn't really get into Skyrim or Oblivion despite making an honest (10 hour) effort.

This is a good price. If you can find the basic edition for cheaper, I would just go for thst at this point. The premium stuff in game is replaced almost immediately.

As for the game itself, it's fairly slow and frustrating for the first 5 hours or so, then you slowly pickup the mechanics and realize how much there is to it. It's extremely fun.

This game is surprisingly good. If you liked one of mass effect, skyrim, fallout then you will love it.
