For those not in the know, is it low, medium or high quality tier for a beginner/$10 knife?

"A budget knife that can handle "normal" usage… Chinese steel like the 7cr17mov, offers good properties for the price, but it needs some work (oiling and cleaning after usage) to keep it in shape, and it's easy to sharpen."

Sonofzeus link should provide some idea, but it is low, and possible to get 8cr13 for not much more, it should be easy to search for a comparison. Actually not counting shipping I've been able to get a knife in this range on clearance with AUS8 and even 9cr18 though that was a fixed blade knife. If someone needs one sooner than later and they're in that budget range it probably doesn't matter all that much. There is a case for free where someone you know might just be like here's an extra one.

These knives are garbage. They will fall apart within a year.

Looks like a decent stocking stuffer but "made in China" kills the deal for me.

never buy a folding knife that isn't riveted together. any folding knife not riveted together is just absolutely garbage. a good folding knife like a buck 110 is a good knife. if you see a knife with screws i don't care who makes it, its a garbage knife
My Benchmade knives are screwed together…

Guess I should throw out all my $100 knives and only keep the Bucks.
