If the Casper Select is like the Casper Original, it's probably medium-firm.

I had a Casper Original for a while and liked it. It has a very balanced foam feel that's different than a Nectar or Tempur-Pedic (which have a slow-moving memory foam feel).

If you want a firmer mattress, perhaps check out Costco's Novaform mattress. If you want a soft mattress, check out the Casper Nova (not sold at Costco). I really, really like the Casper Nova but it's quite expensive.

The Casper Select is likely a good choice for many and the price is right (and Costco's return policy is great if needed).

If 3 people in the same area can coordinate a purchase of the same mattress you can save an extra $100 off each!

What, you don't buy your own beds three at a time?

We bought the Hybrid version 3 months ago. Gives more support on the edges. Able to sit on the side of the bed better than the non-hybrid.
Love it.

How do you "physically" see the difference on a website? Think before typing.

Relax. I'm certain you know what they meant. No need to be a jerk.

This one has fiberglass. I thought SD was pretty adamant about avoiding fiberglass mattresses, so I'm surprised to see that this deal is very popular.

We almost purchased this mattress at our local Costco over the weekend but I wanted to do more research first and am glad I did. There is quite a bit that can be found online about issues with the fiberglass in the Casper mattresses - even experienced by people who did not unzip the cover off of their mattress. We decided the risk is just not worth it.

It's meh. Not the greatest. Very medium, not firm. We both sank in it. Wasn't hot to lay on though. We had to add a firm topper to support us. Probably will replace it in 5 years with a better one.

Fiberglass risk turns out is an issue with pretty much any mattress that uses synthetic material extensively

I was about to cancel an order I made until I googled every major mattress brand with the term fiberglass.

From quick google searches even traditional brands use fiberglass depending on the model

Simmons: yes
Beautyrest: yes
Serta: yes
Sealy: yes

My solution is to buy an encasement meant for allergens to seal it permanently and never open that on top of the case it comes with.

My wife and I love the Novaform mattress and they frequently go on sale Costco.

I bought this 3 years ago and at the very best its an OK mattress. For the $500 I paid for it, I was expecting a bit more firmness.

The thickness is what pisses me off. I have an 8 inch thick mattress in my other room and I love the memory foam.

They need to either come with wider bedsheets or find a way to stop making these thick of mattresses. Life becomes painful when you have to make the bed with the bedsheets do not tuck well and come off at night during sleep easily.

These mattresses are full of fiberglass (or some equivalent substance) and are legit a threat to your health/safety in addition to the well-being of your property…buyer beware!!!

Not a good deal. I just bought a Beautyrest PressureSmart™ 2.0 Plush 11.75" Mattress for $650 from Mattressfirm. And a $400 head and leg base!
