Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Mentioned this in the Worx 4V thread which is selling for the same amount as this Skilz driver @ Sam's Club (link) but thought I should mentioned it here as well:

When comparing specs the Skil 4V driver is inferior to the Worx 4V driver in the following ways:
  • Slower speed (220RPM vs. 250RPM)
  • Lower max torque (4Nm vs. 5Nm)
  • No torque settings (Worx has 3: 2.5Nm, 4Nm and 5Nm)
  • Uses a microUSB port (vs. USB-C)
  • No battery capacity indicator (vs. three light LED indicator)

The benefit of the Skil driver is that it can be twisted in either pistol or in-line grip mode which is pretty cool and it comes with a 5 year warranty (vs. 3 year for Worx).

I bought the Sam's version a while back on sale. Made a post here and was downvoted..go figure.

But I'll say, this has been a super handy tool! I have some bigger Milwaukee drills and impacts, but have pretty much only used this in the new house. Putting beds together, installing curtain rods..etc. Love it.

Is the sams workx better or this one https://www.samsclub.com/p/4v-scr...d25201229?

I see there's many different brands around the same price. I ended up getting instead of the worx. It's been really helpful. I wish it was usb c but it's at least some sort of usb charging unlike ryobis barrel charger.

A poor price for those near Aldi this week - their Ferrex kit is only $14.99!

...

Average everyday price given that Ryobi is priced at:
$19 https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/product/HP44LK

$24
https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...t/PLV01KMX [directtoolsoutlet.com]

..

Also, keep in mind drills (12v systems) often go for nearly the same on sale and can drive screws far better (hard woods, etc).
28 stores in the country and doesn't ship lol, very ymmv

If you're a homeowner spend more for one with adjustable torque and replacement batteries 🪫 I have a dewalt 8V MAX Cordless Gyroscopic screwdriver 🪛 the Milwaukee m12 is cool too but heavier
If you're a homeowner get this. keep it in the kitchen or junk drawer. You'll use it often when you need to drive a screw but you aren't building a deck. Or maybe you just don't want to drag out the toolbox for a big drill driver. It'll be the best $20 you've spent in a very long time.

You didn't mention the $15 shipping if you can get it shipped, which is rare.
You also didn't mention those links are for blemished tools. I realize for most that doesn't matter, but I'm not one for glossing over the details.
Also, and most important, that's not an everyday price because those items aren't available every day. Direct Tools availability constantly changes.
And 12V systems, while lighter than 18 & 24V aren't really comparable to a tool you keep around for quick light jobs.

This is also non-pivot version.

I have the non-pivot and after 12 months (light use), the battery has expanded on me and essentially rendered the unit useless. I will go through warranty claim process.

It's a great tool while it worked.
china gives warranties? this aint no Bosch company no more.

These are great little tools. I have thousands of $ in makita tools but I keep one in my garage and one in my office. both get used a lot.

mine are black & decker and I have used them for about ten years now. both are micro-usb charged. I'm sure that the new models use usb-c.

a lot of times you don't want a powerful driver. it will just strip screws.
thats what the torque settings are for.

lol, the 8v max isnt a little more, its a helluva lot more. you could buy likes 6 of these for the price of that dewalt. also, 8v carries more weight. not something i want.
