Don't forget don't forget 10% cb elsewhere and id.me discount.

$1687 or so after those discounts! (And before tax 😉)

Wait for BF. I have Legion 7 with RTX 3060 and love their design. Would love to upgrade to this version for under $1700 without all id.me and CB site( it's a bonus when it works, but haft the time they were like "cannot confirm purchase BS"). Common Lenovo... throw us a bone here!

It supports 64GB. For adding 128GB, you'll need two 64GB stick which I don't think are available at this point, at least for consumer market. BTW, don't mind me asking, why you need that much amount of Ram?

Thanks for the reply.

I want to install vmware ESXI/workstation-pro on it and create couple of VMs on it. Just like a small home lab for learning purpose.

I know there are many ways to do that. Its just that I do not want to assemble my own system.

FWIW, I pulled the trigger on this yesterday expecting late-October delivery. The order status today is showing an estimated delivery of 9/20/23.

Lenovo lets you sign up with ID.me using a senior, so you can get gramps (or grandma) to get it for you.

that is a 5i, not 7i, you can buy on ebay a refurbished 7i only difference is the video card, a 4070 instead of a 4080, for 1500 with 2 years all state insurance. Good deal? not sure how big od a difference between 4080 and 4070.

I bought this five weeks ago and it had a two month delivery estimate. It shipped in four days. Nice surprise but weird to be so wildly off.

For that, no need to buy this highly priced gaming laptop, if you're not planning to game on it. Almost all laptops today with dual Ram slots, support 64gb memory. But something cheaper with lesser GPU and you can get those around 1000 bucks, whole still supporting 64GB.

I have this laptop from the last time it was on sale. By far the best gaming laptop (or laptop in general) I've ever owned. Extremely fast and smooth. I don't game that much (no time) but I loaded up Days Gone and had it maxed out without a problem at all. Looks great. Definitely worth it if you're in the market for something like this.

Also the screen looks amazing.

Maybe this is inappropriate but is there any way to have an id.me verification without actually being a student/teacher/hero
The government also uses id.me in many capacities to check for unemploymentfraud and other things, I don't think trying to get a fake one would work out very well.
