The only thing this unit is missing is it appears not to be supported by municipalities that offer a low night time charging rate that is billed by the charger. WIFI connection directly from the charger to the utility servers to monitor usage.

Our municipality is using chargepoint and Juicebox. These two are fully UL Listed and I think that's the reason. Autel is UL Rated, but rated is not the same as UL listed.

Cable really stiff in <20F temps, but no overheats with garage temperatures over 110F easily this summer.

It's a heavy duty unit. Wifi and bluetooth work well, and you can actually hardwire ethernet on this one I believe if you don't have Wifi.

I don't have two units to test this, but I have researched this model more than many youtubers out there that do charging reviews. Yes it appears that two chargers can share one circuit based on load balancing. This load balancing is based on internet control to the two units, not control wiring between the two units. It's app driven through Wifi.

With data driven features and a dedicated app this is more powerful than the current Wall Connector in my opinion.

Maybe not as inexpensive, but you can piece together your own EVSE (colloquially called "EV Charger") using an open platform, which I find pretty slick!

Hmmm -15, I doubted I would be in the garage or anywhere else at that temp.

That's what the OEMs want you to think. They don't want to give consumers a reason not to buy what they have on offer right now...

I bet most of them jump in 2024 without much notice. "Tesla Supercharger access without an adapter" is a pretty compelling selling point

NACS hasn't even gone through the standards process yet which probably won't be finished until the end of this year. Plus the time it takes to re-engineer and adjust supply chains. At best I think it's late 2024 assuming the OEMs are talking about 2025 model year vs calendar year.

Concord had one last week. I couldn't find a price and then saw it was only 40a. I have a 48a juice box that I want to replace due to their shit app, but could pull the trigger.

The J1172 plug will be outdated shortly, these types of chargers will all be dropping in price shortly. Discontinued. I guess you can swap out the wire when your new EV gets delivered.

I own this model, and this is one heck of a deal for that price. Does anyone know if there's a website like brickseek for inventory tracking for Costco?

This appears to be YMMV and instore only.
Use their app, select Same Day and it'll use your zip code to check inventory.

On the website, there is this wallbox charger
https://www.costco.com/wallbox-pu...81778.html

But it's $499. Is this cheaper in store or is it a different model?

I have Juice box as well, and ran into some issue with their app. However, once I registered to the newer app (Enel X Way app) Everything had worked flawlessly again. May want to take a look at that setup.

My issues started with the new app. Random times of not charging, alarms ringing when it gets plugged it. Their customer support asked me to send a video and ghosted me. My warranty expires this month. I'm Extremely frustrated with Enel X.

Buy a tesla and I guarantee you this expense will be nothing. Worst car company ever! Hope you enjoy paying crazy amount for insurance
Or be like me and make a couple stacks from Tesla stock, buy a Tesla, enjoy the best driving experience of my life, and pay under 75/month for Tesla insurance by keeping my safety score between 90-100

Can you explain more or provide a link to an option you're referring to? I've researched EV chargers for years and I've never seen a 240v direct to vehicle cable option on vehicles. Am I misunderstanding?
I wanna know too. The thing is, there is not a consumer plug that you stick in your car that has 240v coming out the end of it. These chargers are full of safety features to keep us from killing ourselves. So yeah, while the the car has the electronics in it pull the right charge out of the plug, the plug doesn't have hot 240 just sitting on the end of it ready to jump into your car. But I really don't know how these things work. I just installed my EV charging outlet and it works fine. 6/3 plus ground in flexible conduit to a Bryant 15-40 receptacle. Just snap in a new breaker and run the wires. I know it's not that simple, but then again, it sorta is.
