Vitamix is in a class of its own with blendtec coming in a distant second. If I had a choice between the ninja, or a 20 dollar Oster I'd pick the Oster.

I have a $20 Oster and am holding out to see if the Vitamix 5200 will once again be around $300 with Black Friday deals.

I just got this. So far loving it for smoothies using frozen fruit. Just press the smoothie button and it does its thing for about a minute. Easy to clean as well. The blades go all the way to the top so just be careful putting in your ingredients.

I have the Vitamix 5200 for the last 7 years. I just the motor fixed for free under the 7 year warranty and a brand new year. I bought it for $300 and that was the best purchase I have ever made.

I also have an Oster and another cheaper unbranded blender. They both work well. But Vitamix is the best for more sustainable use and getting finer puree.

$50 is a great price, and really excellent for ice or smoothies or frozen coffee drinks.
If you're ONLY using for actual food prep stuff, the version on Amazon is currently $40 and comes w/ the extra bowl. But that one's only 400W vs.this one at 1000W.

Nutribullet is a pain to clean. Love Ninja for the ease of dishwasher-safe components.

So this ninja would be better to make a single serve smoothie than a nutribullet?

Is this compatible with older cups and blender jars? I have a ninja with a motor on the way out and would to reuse the smoothie cup if possible.

I hope so. I'm in the same boat. Use it every day for smoothies

Seems to be dead. Looking for a blender more specifically for veggies, chilies for salsas and purée
