the 502x has hybrid optical switches in it that probably will be less prone to the annoying doubleclick problem. Slightly lighter and better battery life but the clicky thing was the only compelling upgrade that i was interested in.

G502X is less irritating in the gamer looks department; the biggest selling point for me is the scroll wheel. The heavy metal wheels on stuff like g502 and MX master are uncomfortable for me personally. They implemented a lighter wheel with smooth edges and rubberized cover for the 502x and it's a game changer.

This looks like an awesome mouse, but more than I'm willing to spend for basic surfing and light gaming. I'm spoiled by mouse that look just like this that cost $15 to $24 on sale. laugh out loud JK. Obviously, this is much better.
