Only the G502 X models have the optical sensor (LIGHTFORCE hybrid optical-mechanical primary switches). This one may (will?) get double click at a certain point.

Having just lost a G900 / G903 due to double click issues (granted, after 5 years), I get the interest in optical switches. Not sure it's worth 100% more, but optical switches are a step forward.

The mousepad is a downgrade from the first generation. Powerplay 2 doesn't have the built-in mouse reciever that the first one did.
