If I understand correctly, mini-LED is tech related to backlighting. The majority of screens have a panel that produces an image and then also has backlighting that projects the image, so you can have a monitor that is both mini-led (backlight) and VA (panel). The benefit of mini-led over traditional leds is that it generally has more zones that allows more control over which areas of the screen receives light which theoretically produces better contrast. OLED bypasses this as instead of having a backlight, the pixel itself produces light individually. I believe I read somewhere that this monitor has something like 1200 local dimming zones. Now if you look at a 4K OLED panel and treat each pixel as it's own zone, you have 3840x2160=8,294,400 zones. So when it comes to contrast ratio (difference between minimum brightness and maximum brightness) where you'll get 4000+:1 (Generally, IPS - 1,000 : 1, IPS Black (new)- 2,000 : 1, VA - 3,000 : 1) from this monitor, an OLED has infinite contrast as the pixel itself turns off. Now there's other aspects to consider such as peak brightness and durability that gives the mini-LED the edge, but purely on picture quality, the general consensus is OLED is the best

I just bought the neo g9 and returned the Alienware aw3423dw. Much happier with the neo with clearer text and no worries of burn in. So as long as they keep making mini led hard stop for me on OLED.

I'm not expert but isn't mini led a higher tier compared to oled? TV prices seem to suggest that but again I'm not pro just curious.

Lol for a computer screen you might as well just draw on it with a sharpie when you get it. Burn in in no time

I bought this at the same price on Prime Day and love it. I use it daily for work (8+ hours/day). I can't speak to gaming on it though, and I do recognize it's billed as a gaming display.

Best buy will price match if there is a microcenter 25 miles from your best buy and if there no coupons and advertised for price listed. So good luck.

Has anybody tried to use Samsung/LG 4K TV for daily work? How was your experience? Price wise much cheaper so asking your opinion. 🙏.

I would love to get this as well for my poor eyes. What do you do for work and how far is this from your face? I can't imagine this sitting on just a 30" deep desk, but let me know your setup. For me, I'm doing data analysis in SQL, Power BI work, and Python for a majority of my day and need an upgrade from my 1080p 32" monitor.

I have a 40" Samsung 4K LCD TV that I've used as my main desktop monitor for years now. I paid 250 for it on a slickdeal. I keep my 16" macbook right under it centered because I use the keyboard and trackpad. The macbook screen is better, but the Samsung holds most of my windows and I'm looking at it probably 90% of the time. I have no complaints.
