A quick note on the quality of the 4K Blu-rays - these discs are damn-near reference quality. Outdoor scenes shine in Dolby Vision, and dark scenes are unmatched on an OLED. Highly recommended

One of the best shows ever made! Can not wait for season 2 and honestly the only reason I pay for HBO.

Loved both games and the show! They made a few really thoughtful changes in adapting the game to TV. There's a good companion podcast for the show if you wanna hear more.

Worth buying eventually IMO if you haven't seen it and don't have any intent to sign up for Max.

I enjoyed the game (Part 1, haven't played part 2 yet) and I enjoyed the show.

You hurt 🤕 peoples feelings.

You're a very bad person for not liking the show that (checks 👎, 46) people liked and disapproved of your taste in TV shows.

Next time make sure you check in with everyone else before stating YOUR opinion 😒.
My apologies to those that may have been offended that I didn't think it was all that great. I just wanted to let others who hadn't seen it yet know before they rushed out to buy this that not everyone thought it was incredible. I thought the pacing was off, the filming was ok but some scenes(ex - the ambush in the city) weren't all that well done, and also I thought Bella Ramsey was great in GOT and His Dark Materials but wasn't a good fit for this role. Casting wise Melanie Lynskey was also miscast but I thought Pedro Pascal and Anna Torv were perfect for Joel and Tess.

It just dragged in a lot of places and wasn't all that entertaining. I grew up with Dawn of the Dead, the first Alien and Fangoria magazine. Also, I have not played the game as of yet so I am not comparing it to another medium. Based solely on what was presented to us on screen I found it meandering and frankly a bit boring at times. This is just my opinion and for those who thought it was great…that's awesome go rewatch it as many times as you like it won't hurt my feelings. I am sure there are movies and shows that I love that plenty of other people despise.

Oh, and where the heck was everyone when that lodge was burning down?

I wouldn't be surprised if HBO removed this show at some point similar to how it removed Westworld - so physical media is a good idea.
I wanted to rewatch Raised by Wolves. Couldn't find it on HBO anymore 😥

If you played through the game before watching the show then it was quite underwhelming. The only thing that was really exceptional was the episode with Bill and Frank.
Really..? The post apocalyptic homesteading episode was "exceptional"??? But what about that episode where they went by the dam where all that stuff happened in the game, just to go to the town of exposition… now that was pure entertainment!!!

People sure do like some boring nonsense these days. Bring on more Galactic Board Room meetings like Andor, now that's good TV… the most boring part of IRL 😒

I agree. Watched it on my Samsung S95C 77" and the image quality is next level. There is a sort of depth and texture to this show that I have not seen before.
Ditto on my Hercules monochrome

Never apologize or give in to the negative feedback and bullying mentality of online groups.

You may only want to aid others, but they'll heed to none of your warnings and only curse you afterwards when they realize their miserable mistakes.

53, that's a badge of honor my friend.

If the entire series of Breaking Bad is $30 how the hell is 9 episodes of The Last of Us worth $23? C'mon man!

I found this series to be somewhat overrated.
I don't know why the thumbs down, the first season was so overrated. Rather watch paint dry.
