These had been out of stock for some time. Currently the Brushless 6 tool kit cheaper than on Direct Tools Outlet and priced the same as the Brushed version.

Like that this comes with a 7 1/4" Circular Saw. I know this price cycles throughout the year, but figured I'd post that it's currently at one of the low points for the brushless combo kit.

I bought this set for $155 through the Home Depot "hack" deal a few weeks back. The tools are a good value if you're already into the Ryobi line, but the charger is crappy.

Chiming here for post warranty support. I have a 2 yr old electric blower (home depot purchase). As of recently, the motor would start choking up after 5 mins or so. I called Ryobi and spoke to a real person (not an automated system). Emailed them the purchase receipt and they referred me to a local Ryobi authorised repair center (it was a 30 min drive over to the next town).

Dropped off my blower ...repair took 3 weeks and went back and picked it up...good as new. Saved me $150 buying a new one!

Ryobi has 3 yr warranty and seems they do stand by it!

It was an oddly written post. By the time people figured out the real deal, it was done.

Does using the non-HP batteries have any negative effects with the brushless tools? I know the HP batteries are supposed to run cooler. Other than that, do I still get full performance of the tools?

No problems at all.

The circular saw might run with a bit more power with HP batteries but I didn't notice a practical difference cutting plywood.

I use the brushless drill and driver with smaller non HP batteries all the time.

The multi-tool is legit. The circ saw is kinda crappy. Everything else is about average. Is it worth the $300? Not when you can pick up a similar Makita or Milwaukee combo if you look around.

I agree.

Some HD stores have a 7 price DeWalt combo on clearance for $400. If target piece together these ryobi deals to get exactly the tools I want.

Circ saw is great but the included blade is awful. Throw a Diablo 40 tooth finish blade on it and it is amazing.

Sorry, but that's simply not true. I was comparing it on the global scale, to the Makitas, Milwaukees and the Metabo HPT that I own. It's awful on many levels and a bad factory blade is just one of the factors. It's definitely not as bad as most Ryobi circ saws, but the bar is set pretty low there, since that's always been Ryobi's achilles heel.
