I've ordered a lot from ProAudioStar, and I've only received 2 items that were listed as used/b stock, but appeared to be new. And one of those was because the sales guy called me and offered to upgrade my Line 6 Helix to a new one for $75.
The other one was a guitar. I can't be sure if it's actually new, or just in great shape and someone returned it and it had no wear or damage on it.
The other guitars I got were used and had very slight flaws with them. Extremely slight flaws thankfully, except maybe my american acoustasonic telecaster. I had to do some dremel work on a knob to get that one useable. But was worth getting it for half the price of new.

Just make sure you're ok with receiving a used one if ordering used.

If you're hoping to do the 'upgrade to new for slightly more' thing, be sure to call them first. Sometimes if you place an order online by time they can look at upgrading you it's already entered shipping and they'll say they can't do anything.

Pretty sure they just got an extra $75 out of you lel. I've bought a few items as "open box" from them and they were always brand new in box.

Maybe; I think they sometimes, but not always sell new items as used. I've bought "used" from ProAudioStar that're really used (not just open box, but with signs of use).

Another Chinese made product. Review says you get more bass on this. Also the pickups gets hot easily & produce a ice pick shrill sound. Need to invest $$$s for better ones.

Nice mahogany though - that is what you are really paying extra for.

For the price this should have been manufactured in Korea or Japan.

I am happy with my Ibanez AF95 - open box for $280.

Selling at Amazo for $830.

Don't get fooled by the inflated price
Chinese or not this is a lot of guitar for $579.99, if it is a real open box in like-new condition. If you look closer the price on Amazon is offered by this exact same seller. Most authorized sellers are selling it for around $1000, including Amazon itself.

Good for you. As I said, the opposite is true for me. All but 2 things were DEFINITELY used.

Totally different guitar. The Peacock Blue is the Hollowbody II w/PIezo model. It's available open box for $899 (new for $1600)

He's right. It's China, actually. Most SE's are made in Indonesia, but the Hollowbodies are made in their Chinese acoustic factory.

I've ordered from ProAudioStar twice through reverb.com for great deals on open box items and both guitars were as good as brand new. Got a Fender American Acoustasonic Stratocaster for $999. Easily the best guitar purchase I ever made.

Actually it is not their own Chinese Factory but a 3rd Party manufacturer that makes guitars for various other companies. If you read the reviews, there are quality related issues in the workmanship. Some of them include poor neck and body joining, corroded strings etc.... Typically you would expect from a Chinese made product. Looks like you are paying for the Mahogany wood more than anything else.

I never buy guitars before testing them. If I can find this in the store I will check it out. Even more so if it is made in china.
Unfortunately guitar center do not carry them in store.

What is their return policy if you do not like it? Looks like 15% restocking fee and you have pay for return shipping.

ProAdio also selling on ebay for $20 more: https://www.ebay.com/itm/30512542...R_jFoqTPYg

Looks like they are desperate to get rid of unsold inventory for a product they can't sell.
