I ordered two of the Variety Pack. They do not ship until October. I am OK with that. October will be here soon enough and I will need coffee then too. I still have a couple hundred capsules from the Prime Day deals. Lavazza capsules are pretty good.

Yes their quality from when they first were releasing pods has really improved, the switch from plastic to aluminum pods really made the difference in keeping the coffee fresher longer. In for 3.

Lavazza definitely upped their game w/ aluminum pods. Much, much better & far more economical. Got my last couple boxes ~20c per pod. Loaded up.

I got a 60-pack of the Lavazza Ristretto Dark Roast (12/13 intensity) when they were on sale last week, $15 for 60 pods. I decided to try it even though I hated the plastic version of Lavazza, since these are now aluminum. They're better than they used to be. Still not as good, rich, or full-bodied as Nespresso or Peets. More on par with, say, Illy or L'Or.

I see that the price on most varieties has gone up since last week's sale, so it seems as if this might have been an introductory offer. I'd consider purchasing more on the occasions when they're steeply discounted again, like $0.25/ pod, and when my overall supply is getting low. Just my 2 cents; your tastes may differ.

These work out to about $0.259/pod if you factor in 5% cash back from an Amazon card (you do use one for Amazon purchases, right?).

I feel like these are a step back actually from the plastic pods. I never really had an issue with the plastic lavazza pods - though I knew aluminum pods in general are much better. When I tried the new lavazza aluminum pods, my machine crumpled the pods to bits and the coffee was very meh. The aluminum is also much thinner

I appreciate this comment. I got in on the same deal and was wondering if I'd regret it. I only bought them since they went aluminum.

Honestly, I was super disappointed with the taste and quality of the plastic Lavazza pods. I ended up throwing them out, which is so wasteful , but they sucked. It's good to see some positive feedback on the newer pods.

Just a heads up, one of the boxes is decaf. Unfortunately that kind of kills the deal, with Peet's being so close in price.

I bought this last time but didn't realize one pack is decaf. Oh well, I'll recycle without using it, I paid around $12 for it, so, it will not be big deal.

So based on the comments, is $0.20/pod the price point I should stock up? Still have some other pods left wonder if I should hold off.

Tbh, these are okay not that good compared to peets or original. It's really watered down, you may have to do 2 capsules and cut off the flow halfway on each to get some decent flavor. I bought these last time, have gone thru 2 boxes and now ready to switch back to peets or originals.

Completely agree. Peet's is the only off brand I'll consider. 👍🏻

Starbucks makes superb pods. As good or better than Nespresso original ones.
