I purchased the Pokemon version of this PowerA controller for $10 and the 8bitdo for $18. The 8bitdo is way, way better.
The PowerA feels like an empty shell and weighs like 3oz. The buttons are crunchy and the sticks feel like they will break very easily. The bumpers and triggers feel like cheap plastic that won't last and are not satisfying to press.
The 8bitdo feels substantial. For $18, it feels like you're getting an official Xbox controller level quality. The sticks, buttons, triggers/bumpers, weight, etc all feel and look great.
The one knock for the 8bitdo is that it is wired and the USB is not detachable and only 1.8m long (which is not long enough to play from most couches/beds).
