Not impressed with this stuff or really any CG stuff for that matter. I like many others had bought some CG stuff before I learned better, they are borderline a marketing company more than a detail supplier.
Try griots 3-in-1 every 6mo....amazing stuff and inexpensive.

which collinite to use? Boats are painted in the mold with gel-coat a paint coating that is quite thick and epoxy based. The wax I use for boats includes rubbing compound to remove the oxidation that occurs. Car paint is polyurethane and not that thick. As boats bounce up against rocks car paint easily rubs off. Hence, gel coat is still the number one product for boats. As boat wax usually contains rubbing compound, frequent use on a car can cause you to rub through the clear coat. Note, the show cars have paint that is two or three times thicker than what comes on cars from the factory. However, if you are careful a small amount of rubbing compound may not damage the car paint from time to time.

Sorry, I recommend the Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax this stuff is great! Not the marine wax, I thought somewhere I read people use this on boats as well. Regardless, it is great and normally only need to use it around twice a year.

I did their jet seal a few years ago when CG was bigger. Worthless. Did the two coats. I dont know if it lasted a few weeks. groits 3in1 awesome. I dont think you actually get 6 months out of it like the other poster. But it lasts.
