I saw this in the store and briefly considered it, but I don't need one. Regular price is $249, marked down to $149. It was on the endcap with the regular power tools. This is an in-store only clearance deal, and as always, YMMV.

Description
  • Adjustable Cutting Swath: 14" for maximizing run-time and 16" for increased clearing capacity
  • Easy Load Trimmer Head: Easily reload trimmer line without head disassembly
  • 2 Speed Control: High speed for demanding applications and low speed for maximizing run-time
  • Variable Speed Trigger: Allows trigger feathering for ultimate user control
  • Compatible with .080" and .095" trimmer line
  • Includes: 1 M18 brushless string trimmer (2828-20), 1 M18 REDLITHIUM HIGH OUTPUT XC6.0Ah Battery (48-11-1865), 1 M18 and M12 Charger (48-59-1812)

Home Depot Link [homedepot.com] (for reference only - Pricing/stock NOT accurately shown)

Brickseek link [brickseek.com]

Example zip code with it in-stock (at time of posting): 75067

Good luck!

Pretty great deal although it's a 6.0 vs. the 8.0 that is included in some kits.

It's not the Quik-Lok version.

People sometimes confuse or don't realize that Milwaukee makes Fuel version which has quick-lock system to use different attachments and extension if needed and brushless that doesn't. As someone pointed out the fuel usually comes with 8.0 and "regular" like this one with 6.0 battery.

The HD website suggested me the 40V 4.0 Ah Ryobi kit as $179.99 alternative. For those who aren't into M18 or any OPE battery ecosystem, how does this compare to other competitors?

Edit: I see that particular Ryobi is brushed, but I wasn't looking to buy it anyhow. One day I will probably replace my smaller gas trimmer with electric - I used to think it would be Ego, but recent accounts seem to indicate that their customer service for early battery failure isn't any better than anyone else's.

Haven't visit brickseek for a while. Since when they require login to check inventory?

Apparently for the past month or so. They seem to be a sinking ship, my guess is that they hope to generate a ton of free sign ups and trick some into going ahead and paying for a subscription. Their Walmart functionality is totally broken now (inventory count is long dead, now in-store clearance prices are gone too). Lowes deals have massively dried up there. Site links for support and other things are broken.

Live, as in discounted and available? This post is still active. I show 19 in stock at a store not far away, zip code 75067, so there's a high likelyhood you can find it near you as well. Use Brickseek to check stock levels.

Live as in..."I want to sit at home, order it and save money?" No, I don't know of any current sales, at least not at this discount level (40% off)
