It's not a GREAT deal as I bought two pliers for $10 off each but then spent $16 to ship.
These are top of the line and the Malco company has shut down from my understanding. Even though the company has/is shut down, these pliers will actually probably go up in price, even used because they are so well know to be the best. How many Vice Grips / Locking Pliers can say that?
Considering each plier is minimum 12 dollars cheaper than Amazon (clamps minimum 25), this is a great deal. Consider it's the last remaining stock and it's cheaper than Msrp, amazing deal.
These are great pliers and I support locally manufactured equipment, however, there is a price threshold for every retail item or service. I have a pair of Malco locking pliers and I also have the HF's Bremen brand, I can tell you from its use for the last 3 yrs, the Bremens are far more superior, more robust and the thumb/locking screw on the Bremens can be driven with a 1/4" ratchet, which is a "HUGE" plus for me. The HF's warranty is second to none, and the whole package is available for $9 at the local HF. Malco should have known better how to keep a tab on the market and the prices. This is how Craftsman shot its own foot, and truck brands like Snap-on, Matco etc. are next.
If you think HF exceeds the quality of these than I never want to hear your opinion on any tool ever because it's worthless.

You truly must be joking OR you don't know diddly about what to look for to truly compare locking pliers. GTFOH if you think the Bremen's are better. I've been using not only locking pliers, but also the locking C-clamp (welding clamp) versions for over 50 years and I know what particular 'finer' details to look for, which you obviously miss.
Funny you mention the Bremen having a 1/4" inset into the tightening screw, which is effectively no different than the hex inset on the Malco's. The Malco's are significantly better than the Bremens in every way, shape, and form. You're obviously not even looking at the most vital and most important parts of locking pliers, which is that the Malco's have a beefy top jaw '4th rivet' on the top jaw to body connection. The Bremens aren't even close to having that.
You also don't look at how the Malco's have a much stronger fully welded beefy 'ring' surrounding the adjustment screw, which is the #1 weak link location of all locking pliers.
The Bremen's may have a large diameter adjustment screw head, but the Malco's not only have that, but also a beefier diameter adjustment screw.
Also, even the finish on the Bremen's is laughable, as compared to the Malco's superb finish, which is like night and day different.
I don't own any Bremen's for those reasons, plus many more, after I closely examined them in my local Harbor Freight store when they first hit the shelves.

I should stop browsing slickdeals on weekend. Just placed an order for 2 c clamps and 2 vice grips which I know I probably will be using once or twice a year. LOL

Ordered 3 vise grips and saw an option for $7 shipping. Yes please! This is an excellent deal. Best part is, I'm young so I know these will certainly last my lifetime.
