Ordered 3 vise grips and saw an option for $7 shipping. Yes please! This is an excellent deal. Best part is, I'm young so I know these will certainly last my lifetime.
In for 2, these are really nice and about 1/2 the normal price. I would guess these are on close out so get them while you can. It was announced last year they planned to exit the current place where they are manufactured https://starherald.com/business/l...e35d5.html
I must be missing something. Unless you buy 4+ the shipping kinda kills it and it's not that huge saving. They are about $41-44 each on Amazon with free shipping for prime.

From what I gathered, you save quite a bit more for C Clamp pliers (~$25 compared with Amazon). If you are buying vice grips, you are correct that not much of a saving unless you buy quite a few. On the other end, not sure what has happened but I wasn't charged a sales tax on my order which yielded additional 6% saving for me.

You are missing that the C-clamps are usually $55, so for $29, even with shipping they are an amazing deal.

These are great pliers and I support locally manufactured equipment, however, there is a price threshold for every retail item or service. I have a pair of Malco locking pliers and I also have the HF's Bremen brand, I can tell you from its use for the last 3 yrs, the Bremens are far more superior, more robust and the thumb/locking screw on the Bremens can be driven with a 1/4" ratchet, which is a "HUGE" plus for me. The HF's warranty is second to none, and the whole package is available for $9 at the local HF. Malco should have known better how to keep a tab on the market and the prices. This is how Craftsman shot its own foot, and truck brands like Snap-on, Matco etc. are next.
Malco's are miles better than Milwaukee.
Significant differences in many ways, even tho all locking pliers 'look' the same.
Malco's are also made in the USA while Milwaukee are made in Taiwan.

Milwaukee was very middle of the pack in every category.
Malco won by far.

When you are trying to clamp oddball stuff or at a weird angle and you really need them to hold straight, these are what you want.
I just wish they had a set of fine/needle nose style as well.
