Excellent deal. These rarely go sub $600 nowadays. I got the Lake Placid Blue several months ago and I love it. It did need a setup, however (but filed & intonated. I also had my tech adjust the trem to my specific liking)

That depends on whether or not you want authentic single coils or humbuckers voiced to sound like single coils (Fender noiseless).

Of course, you can always replace pickups, but for those that aren't interested in tacking on another $100-200 + installation, the Player may be the preferred over the Player Plus.

Player plus also has locking tuners. It's basically a MIM ultra stratocaster.
