This is how you end up stuck with two motherboards

Lol this is like the reverse of what happened during the mining craze. Now it's time to bundle pricey 8GB GPUs with other items for a discount to move them.

I think it's mangers discretion if you can return it. I imagine if you're buying the case deal and a processor deal, then that might work. Otherwise, just wait a few days and say oh I decided against it and got a different motherboard and see what they say. Could also ebay it and probably make the cost you paid after fees and shipping.
Thanks for clarifying the price. That's what I was told as well. I'm thinking my $140 must have included tax.

As for the return policy, I didn't run into any problems when I was talking with the guy at the back desk. I think that most managers would be understanding about you not wanting to get stuck with two MOBOs. Good luck!

Good price, but it's impossible to purchase. Not worth the drive 300 miles for this. Just wish they can also ship.

For the record, stimulus checks were an excuse for corpos to inflate their prices. The consensus is that the stimmies were only responsible for a few points of the 8 percent inflation or so that happened during that time. A lot of people talking about inflation here don't what the hoo-ha they're talking about

So I'll comment as I've already bought and built a few of these systems over the last month. It's a great deal especially when you can find an open box 12700k/12900K for $200.

The case, Mobo, and GPU are specific to each other and this case. It makes for an incredibly clean NO CABLES Build. It also includes fans.

You can swap in standard parts such as mobo and GPU, but you will loose the the whole rear mounted cables approach.

Yeah the rest of the inflation was from bribing people to stop working by offering them an extra $600/week to stay home. It was a government sanctioned strike for a ~$15/hr minimum wage

Seems a good deal, until you do some digging.

The motherboard and GPU both use proprietary power connectors, making these parts basically useless for any build outside of this case, which a lot of people report as running VERY HOT from bad airflow. Also, if the glass breaks, can't easily move parts over.

I would pass. Especially with the 8gb VRAM issues that are starting to pop up with more and more games.

How can the power connectors be proprietary if no power supply is included? Or are you just referring to the connectors being on the back?

Am I missing something?
Graphics card is worth ~450, cabinet ~200 and motherboard ~150.
So, 500 for stuff worth 800.. And all of it seems to be decent quality.

If I can find a use for all the components and I'm looking for a graphics card upgrade from my 1060, any reason not to get it?

Edit: read more comments and it looks like motherboard has to be with chassis which is not for me.

Card more like less than $300 considering the bottom designed power connector, case is just a $100 case, mb $150. That's it. If you want to sell them, the market price is even lower than that. Doesn't worth it IMO. I placed an order and probably won't pick it up.

What's bottom designed power connector? And how does it matter?

The GPU and motherboard have connectors on the bottom side to make them "stealth". The case has holes to accommodate these "stealth" parts so cables are not visible. If you tried to put the motherboard or GPU in another case, you may have trouble with cabling.

This is the newer version of the case so the front panel airflow issues in the LTT video have been addressed but the video explains the "stealth" concept.

Meh, seems kinda dumb for them to make another combo with MB. Better off to include PSU and maybe even SSD. Then it'd pair up nicely with their MB/CPU/mem combos.

Has anyone ever seen a microcenter store? I've been all over America and never seen or hear of one actually existing. These adverts are a complete waste of time for 99% of SD's readers.
