The 3rd generation has:

- 5g and this doesn't
- a bit better battery life
- a better processor

I've unlocked several phones at 60 days - policy changed 11/2021 when Verizon bought all the Tracfone brands. Read official policy, it's posted on their website.

My inlaws have iphone 7 phones that are pitifully cracked and barely work anymore. They are el-cheapo but this might be the ticket to bring them up to pseudo-current phones.

They're on Verizon. Can someone explain how I'd do this? Buy two of these phones, activate them with $10/mo plans which, what, will then get them two new phone numbers? Then we put them in a drawer for 60 days, cancel the service, and transfer their Verizon service/phones to these?

When you type in your eBay Order ID, an error occurs (no easy way to retrieve the PINs you purchased. You need to contact eBay for refund or see if Tracfone would manually add the plan for you.)

Yes, buy 2 phones and 2 plans (Tracfone $15 30-day Smart plans 500/500/500 or ST one-month plans) for activations. You don't need to cancel anything. Plan/phone # expire after 30 days. The phones will be automatically unlocked 60 days after activations (check settings or sickw.com). You then put the Verizon SIMs in these iPhones after unlock.

Are you saying you just did the TF bring your own device and added to your existing account without rebranding or any issues? Basically replacing an existing device with the Iphone SE?

Yes, you can keep the phone sealed. All you need is the IMEI and a plan PIN to activate the phone. iPhones are automatically unlocked 60 days after activation. You can check the lock status at sickw.com.
