Spectrum is charging me $100 for 300mbps in south TX (RGV) and it's not even stable. I'm so frustrated with them. I want a change but not sure what's available and reliable because I telework. If anyone has any info please let me know.TIA
Someone would seriously accept a cold call from (any number at all) and give out (any information whatsoever) ?
If I got a call from my credit card company saying "We have a fraud alert on your card" (or anything else) I would immediately drop the line, and call the number on the back of my credit card.
Accepting any incoming calls for (anything) nowadays is a recipe for disaster.
The truth of the matter is, stupid people, old people, young people (and yes, very occasionally regular people who just happen to get caught at the right time) fall for scams like this everyday. It's frustrating, because in the end we all end up paying for it (since the banks/credit cards will often cover for fraud, and pass the charges on to the rest of us so they still make money.)

Just plug in your address on each provider's site and see what's available. No one here can know what's available for you.
An att representative came to my house a couple of months ago and offered this deal plus 2 months free. I live in north Altanta. Happy with the price and speed so far.
I called and eventually spoke to retention team since first guy said it was only for new line. Retention guy happily applied the discount for the $60 a month 1gb
How do you get to retention team? Got direct number or need to threaten to cancel?
Yes! I explained how not only did my bill go up to $75 after it was previously $70, and that as a loyal customer for the last 8-9 years we should at least have the opportunity to get a price match to that deal. I was also able to keep my HBO Max plan since I was grandfathered in. He said new customers didn't have the opportunity to get HBO max. One always thought the HBO max addition was from having cell phones with them 🤷 ♂️

After the speaking with the first rep and having him basically tell me over and over again that it was only for new lines, I asked to be transferred to the retention team/loyalty department to speak with someone. He then transferred me

Once you place the order, there is no email which shows that the $300/- rewards coupons were used and are due for processing after 6 weeks. How do we get a proof showing the codes as part of the order ?
I always take a screen shot right before placing the order for the same reason. Otherwise you are just hoping and praying for a follow-up.
Pretty much the best thing about ATT Fiber is that it is unlimited. No cap.
From their terms and conditions: †Data Allowance: $10 charge applies for each additional 50GB (up to $100/mo.). Unlimited data allowance may also be purchased separately for an additional $30/mo. For more info, go to att.com/internet-usage.
So do they charge for overage of data?

I have 1 GB fiber with AT&T and I have no data cap. We average about 5TB of data a billing cycle and never get charged any extra fees.
