I moved on to sign up tmob internet. Speed wasn't as great as my current att plan but enough for my need. Called back to cancel still not giving me $20 off. I have been with att internet for 15+ yrs. When I see this thread I am so disappointed that they are aggressively want new signup instead of keeping existing customers.
Yesterday I got an automated email for retention, the 20off offer only if I have wireless account.
was able to get the following via chat (please be nice to the agents!!! if you don't get it once try again just be nice)

They also confirmed tablet plans are eligible for the $20/month wireless discount and a $5 autopay discount
if you have ATT this is basically a no brainer, I have their ATT unlimited tablet plan thats $20/month
Talk to chat they can give you a better deal than what's in the OP

The one question I have is I don't see where you got the lifetime price. Is this something that is listed elsewhere?

Took them about three weeks to resolve some "underlying issue" on my account at the time but I see the discount reflect on my bill. It's currently showing me $70/mo - I have a wifi extender. So I am getting $20 off and $5 off for paperless billing.
YMMV - I had to change the billing address on the wireless account to match the address on the internet account. The names on the account doesn't have to match but the billing address for both do. I've received different responses from different retention reps. One would say its only eligible for new customers whilst two others would tell me otherwise. Hang up and call again if you get one of those reps that tell you nah.
I do need the Amazon Bundle too, I might contact the rep that last helped me to inquire about that but it seems like its only chat authorized?
