The storage is built in and will only record when motion is detected. I was pretty bummed out when I found out it doesn't take microSD and you can't do 247 recording on it

I think you meant Apple HomeKit. which is fine because there is more functionality in the Eufy app anyway. It connects to 2.4ghz networks because that's all it needs, its not a negative in any way. But thank you for pointing that out. I have Ring setup at my moms house and Eufy setup at my own house. I have to say between the 2 customers really get a lot for their money.. Ring has a great implementation but you need to pay that subscription. Eufy has NO subscription and talks to the little base unit that sits inside your house with 16GB of built in storage. I only need to charge my 2 Eufy cams about 2 or 3 times a year.

Why would that make things more difficult?

There are 2 lines of Eufy products. The first have only local on device storage. The second are homebase compatible models that wirelessly link up to the homebase to store videos, also to control the units.

These are nice. Good sensitivity on the motion detection, bright LED, good footage. I haven't tested the siren. Works with Google Home. Installation is easy too. If you can install a light fixture and activate a smart device, it's DIY.

So, can anyone help explain how the storage works on this? It comes with 4gb, but can you add an SD card to increase that?
How do you access the videos stored on the device?

Can you access the camera feed remotely at any time? Or is it only when there is motion?

Only 4GB internal storage is a sale stopper.
No SD card option either.

Come on Eufy, the title of the product says 'no monthly fees'. But indirectly, the less storage is pushing the customer to buy cloud storage.

i'm a fan of eufy but i hate these flood light with a passion. No matter how low the sensitivity i try to set it , it's constantly coming on even when a big truck comes by... very very annoying. And now mines not recording events or people... smh.

Wish it was compatible with HomeBase so that recordings are secure even if someone yanks this out.

These support rtsp, which would allow you to locally store photos on a sever. Anyone have any experience with it and synology?

For those that are complaining about storage does RTSP fix this issue since it can store videos locally on a server ?

nevermind apparently there is an indoor model called e220, I'm not sure if this one does rstp or not
