yes, this can be used for cleaning out dust from electronics/computers. its basically a cheaper version of a $100 data vac. got one of those several years back for about $50.

i purchased the other day and received today. very strong (slight hand hold twist feeling when revs up) and well worth the money.

so, i purchased a couple more at the every so slightly cheaper price today. laugh out loud

May not work for drying my car but I am sure I'll find many uses for this. In 4 1. Sold by Amazon too so I used my $10 off Discover card purchaser it and also got a $1.50 no-rush credit. Sweeet!

Seems like I could just use my shop vac in reverse, at least for the times I wash my car at home.

True, but you could be blowing tiny dust particles at very fast speed and hurting your paint. Depends on how much you care about fine scratches.

Obviously I would have to clean the canister well before using it to dry the car.

Of course, this product won't work any better at the car wash since it's AC powered. The car wash I visit has no AC outlets to power it. Maybe an inverter powered off the car 12v.

Better than a leaf blower to dry off the car?
