In my opinion, I don't get the paranoia surrounding this brand and SD shilling. The same nonsense was going on back when other companies like Anker, Aukey, RavPower were trying to get sales. Did people seriously think there were some special promo codes that just so happened to find themselves on SD without any payoffs or other shenanigans going on? Where was the backlash back then over that?
I hear all the wannabe experts on Slickdeals act like they know everything when they say these items are shill deals and aren't worth trying (even though you can return them through Amazon...). These same idiots probably convinced countless people not to sign up for things like Windscribe lifetime deals or buying super cheap items that were likely paid off posts. Who cares about the "integrity" of deals? Do 5 minutes of research on brands and figure out what's trash and what's not.

the printer does not have a wifi built in, but it has a USB port,
so is it possible to preconfigure any of these devices through a pc,
and connect to a printer imitating a direct USB connection?

And to your Anker, aukey, ravpower point.... all of the few aukey and ravpower products I have purchased years ago are now dead and failed in some manner. Just because SD shills a particular brand, doesn't mean the brand is reliable.
I eventually decided to get a used Linksys RE6500 range extender (with Ethernet ports) for $25 on eBay and it works wonders. Obviously don't have the flexibility to quickly switch networks or the portability, but for my needs (getting reliable Internet to the further areas of my workplace) it works perfectly fine - only had to reboot it 3x in the 1.5 years I've have it.

-USB wireless print server. These run anywhere between $30 and $80, so they aren't the cheapest solution. However, they are tailor made for what you're trying to do and the easiest to set up. If your printer only had USB, this would be your only reliable option.
-Ethernet over power line adapters. These basically turn your electrical wiring into a wired network connection. They aren't super reliable or fast, but will be more than enough for printing. The only caveat is your router and the printer have to both be on the same breaker. Beyond that, they're just plug and play. These run about $35.
-Wireless access point/repeater/repurposed router. This is your cheapest solution, with some APs from lesser known brands costing as little as $12. Requires some setup ahead of time, but it's also the fastest option for transmission. If you ever use the scanner, this is the way to go.
