These suck and go bad in a few months if you actually use them every day.

I used it every day and the ceramic coating flakes off the inside of the mug. Technically it's safe but the cup looks awful inside and something about knowing the ceramic continues to flake off in my drink bothered me.

I stopped using mine and got a dumb version of a electric warming mug from Walmart for $40 and it has lasted me over 2+ years with no paint or coating flaking. The inside looks a little scratched up but that's to be expected. No flaking off substance though.

I would not recommend this unless you really need Bluetooth and app connection

Feel free to look up ember mub flaking you'll see it's super common. At least it was on the Ember 2 mug I had, not sure they've fixed it in newer models.

Mine lasted about two years of daily use before it started flaking. Threw it in the trash. Wouldn't but it again for full retail, especially considering the MSRP price increase.

I hate warm coffee. I want either hot or ice cold coffee. Maybe this product is not for me.

I do wish it had a higher temp setting, but it's pretty nice in the wintertime.

The upper end of range on this mug is 145 F. That is a respectably hot temperature, unless you really prefer your coffee "extra hot". 145 F is well within the range that many coffee roasters suggest drinking their coffee at, in fact it's on the upper end of range for several I found in a quick look.

These mugs are trash. The battery is non-replaceable and once it dies (with regular use, < one year, you're dumping lithium in the landfill.

Just get a Zojirushi thermos and your beverage will either stay hot or cold for the whole work day.

BTW, you are not a true SD'er unless you frequent GW.
Best GW I've found is in Newport News, VA. It's a clearing house where they bring in stuff, put it all on giant rolling sorting bins, and then wheel it out to a huge open space for folks to dig through. Cost is done by weight! It can get crazy, but it's a ton of fun too!
