Old school thinking. Modern suits of Polyester are fine for most occasions. Sure, a high end wool will be better, but not to the extend presented here. For the cost, this will do just fine for occasional wear. Daily, invest a little more. But there is more in these than just "grandma died".

Even with the synthetic materials and low class notch lapel, you'll look a million times better in this tux, properly altered, than anything from rental. And your next wear will be free!

I went with the Van Husen black Classic Fit (for any upcoming funerals) pick up at my local Macy's If it is awful I can promptly return it

None of these are fairly good. These are sub $100 polyester suits. These are good for kids or the "Oh shit, grandma died yesterday and I don't have a suit" moments where your bank account sucks.

Any suit that is fairly good will retail, on sale for at least $300 and be 100% wool and that would be a bottom tier suit at that price point.

If you really need $100 suits, go raid Goodwill where older people live. Get something classic and wool. Find the good tailor in your area (not anybody that really doesn't do menswear) and get it fitted. You'll have a much more durable suit for about the same amount of money.

Suits pants are made with a "drop" in size of about 6". They also come with a ridiculously long, unfinished leg. You're supposed to get them fitted.
