So these have been "50% off" for like 6 months now on Amazon which is very suspicious to begin with. I bought a few cases of these. Most of them were good but occasionally you will get a bar with what I would describe as a "bad peanut" on it that ruins the whole bar. If you've ever eaten a bad nut you know what I mean.

I'm wondering if Payday had an enormous run of product with "bad nuts" that they dumped to Amazon for next to nothing and they keep selling because most of the bars are fine it's only like 1/5th of the box contents effected. IMO this isn't worth the discount and ruins the whole experience. I have 2 unopened cases sitting on a shelf because of the bad nut fear.
I ordered a box the first time they went on sale and I didn't have any bad candy bars in the bunch, but I got burned out of eating them real fast. I had like 10 bars that sat here for 2 months and couldn't make myself eat anymore. I wish they had the ones with chocolate on sale, lol

Not a fan of Payday candy bars, however this is a pretty damn good deal for Halloween trick or treaters…

There's nothing suspicious about it. Not all candy bars are created equal. Paydays are just peanuts and sugar, two very inexpensive ingredients. No chocolate. Cocoa is the most expensive ingredient in a "candy bar", but not all candy bars have it.

These don't taste the same to me. Have other seen the quality of most consumer products deteriorate over time?

This deal's still available (surprisingly). Smilie
If they run out come back in a week (give or take). Seems like that's almost how often this deal comes out. I see 13 times since mid-April alone.

It isn't what I would consider slick, as often as it hits. I wish I had some willpower and could ration them out. I better stick with Funsized. There is almost no chance any would make it to Halloween to give out. yummy

Because it's rare to get really ANY candy bar for less than $1 these days.

Government cause inflation has made almost all manufacturers resort to using lower quality ingredients in order to try to maintain similar pricing. You can think things like the Inflation Reduction Act, and other bills like it which caused record, inflation, for everything being smaller, or tasting worse, or being lower quality than it used to be in the past.

Candy quality has gone down significantly over the years. Cut the costs to increase the profit. People are still going to buy the inferior products, so why use better (more expensive) ingredients?
