Nike is about to have a 25% off sale starting Sunday. No idea if these shoes will be included, but it may be worth waiting till then.

You should go barefooted when deadlifting or squatting. Even a wide flat shoe. Unless the front of the shoe has really wide toe area. I believe squat university has a good lifting shoe.

I use SB Blazers daily and they are awesome outside of full on lifting shoes like Romaleos.

Source on the Sunday sale?

I guess people can return if they buy it now. But, yeah there's no telling if this will still be available.

Fine for the vast majority of folks. But if you're going really heavy, I wouldn't get any shoes with air pockets or similar cushioning membranes. This is why so many people use Chucks or Blazers - they're flat, low rise, and have no inserts in the soles.

On the other hand, if you're like me, no longer lifting heavy due to age, knees, and back. Just lifting to stay in shape, these are fine. Most athletic shoes are fine for less intense lifting.
