Enough iphone 15 will be available in US, Chinese not buying due to Mate X5 and Mate 60 pro. No wonder pro price kept at $999 instead $1199. Just wait a little many offers will come.

I cannot stress this enough. This is not worth it. Their customer service is *abysmal*. If you have ANY issues, be prepared for weeks of calls talking to people who speak words, but don't understand anything you're saying.

I actually called in to cancel my mobile service because it would not let me do it online and they could not successfully port any numbers I was trying to bring after 3 weeks. They cancelled my INTERNET, and left my mobile active, even after I specifically said "I want to be clear, I do NOT want to cancel my internet services." and verbally confirmed that with them twice. It was an absolute joke.

Most likely it will be same as apple, you'll need iphone 14 pro max 1tb to get full $830 back else get $100-$200 back

Her iphone 15 will be locked to XM for 2 years, so she cannot use a esim from any other provider during that 2 year period. A lot of people when they travel international like to use a esim/sim from the local country because it is a lot cheaper and affordable. A regular sim card is generally easier to acquire than a esim because the esim is still new tech. By buying a iphone 15 from XM using this deal, you cannot get a physical sim (because there is no physical sim slot) and you cannot use a esim from the foreign country, Basically, if you want data or phone capabilities in a foreign country, the only option with this phone is to pay xfinity for international plan, which is $10 a day and kinda a rip off. That is the trade off with buying a locked phone. To directly answer your question, If she wants to talk and text while abroad with a iphone 15 from XM with this deal, you will have to pay the $10 a day.

Now there are other options that are bit more budget friendly and you can look those up on travel blogs and whatnot. I personally just accepted that my phone is locked for 2 years and have an unlocked phone as back-up if I do travel internationally. I am also ok with using mostly wifi when at the hotel etc.
$10 a day does suck but it's not the end of the world as she won't be in France that long, lol. Do you know if there's a good way to tell what kind of reception you get in France via XM (Verizon I guess). Hopefully it's decent if they are gouging us $10 per daySmilie

I have travelled to Dubai, India and Europe and have used eSim. The eSim activation process was smooth for me. There is an App called Airalo and I usually purchase eSim from them.
Aren't the plans on that website mainly data only? That could be an issue if I needed to make or receive a call/SMS code at some point
I'm not bashing on esims, it's a great but awful to make devices esim only. At&t already makes a whole ordeal to switch devices when you're using esims (forcing you to call them to obtain a new QR code) to me that sounds like the Sprint days when CDMA devices needed your IMEI in order to register in their network. Instead of just transferring physical sim card from one device to another

The iPhone XR allows you to get full $830 trade-in credit for the iPhone 15 Pro. It costs about $220 on Amazon. The total cost of the Pro after the 24 monthly bill credits would be $169. After tax, an entirely new iPhone 15 Pro would be around $500.

Just putting this out there. Do with it what you will.
I only see 600 credit for it

Love me some Xfinity mobile. Nothing else even comes close in cost for me and the verzon network rocks.

Sure CS is bad if you have issues, but it has always worked out for me. Just requires a little patience.

Question for anyone who is knowledgeable. On a couple of my lines I wouldn't mind upgrading to iphone 15 and 15 pro. Is my best bet to pay them off, port out the number then port back in and trade in to maximize the discounts? Any flaw with that plan.

I can't just add new lines as I am already maxed out at 10.

Just FYI.. there is tax on the full price while booking the phone, so if it's a 1200 phone.. most people will pay 6% tax i.e. $72

What I did, ymmv. I bought an iphone 12 used. backup and restore iphone 14. got a cheap eSim. used that while touring europe. when home backup and restore back to 14. Sell 12.

iphones sell on ebay instantly if you price them right. its a hassle, but it saves a ton of cash.

No way is $10 a day worth it. Other option is to turn off data and use wifi and pay by the mb if its an emergency like you need to cancel a reservation or get a map.

Does the pre-order with trade-in process ask you for the IMEI number of the trade-in device right now? I have an iPhone 11 that is with my MIL. I won't be able to get it in hands until next week - wondeirng if I can still pre-order if all the process needs is the device type.

Requirement doesn't seem to state carrier unlocked.
