Enough iphone 15 will be available in US, Chinese not buying due to Mate X5 and Mate 60 pro. No wonder pro price kept at $999 instead $1199. Just wait a little many offers will come.

I cannot stress this enough. This is not worth it. Their customer service is *abysmal*. If you have ANY issues, be prepared for weeks of calls talking to people who speak words, but don't understand anything you're saying.

I actually called in to cancel my mobile service because it would not let me do it online and they could not successfully port any numbers I was trying to bring after 3 weeks. They cancelled my INTERNET, and left my mobile active, even after I specifically said "I want to be clear, I do NOT want to cancel my internet services." and verbally confirmed that with them twice. It was an absolute joke.

Most likely it will be same as apple, you'll need iphone 14 pro max 1tb to get full $830 back else get $100-$200 back

Can you clarify this for me? My daughter has an Iphone 12 and was thinking about upgrading her to a Iphone 15 but she's going on a school trip to France next year. Would she be able to use her Iphone 15 on XM in France next year?
Yes she can. But you need to get the global travel pass from xfinity which is like $10/day, that is because the eSim and Sim are both locked to xfinity. She wont be able to use any eSim service provided in France. The only way she could is by paying off the phone in full (You will be losing the month credit)

what sim? iphones in the U.S (since model 14) are esim only. Even if you have one unlocked makes the process of using a provider in a different country much more difficult than just buying a prepaid physical sim card. I'm surprised they went from lightning port to usb-b and not just got ridden of the port at this point in order to force consumers to use wireless chargers and/or paid icloud subscriptions

Not sure if her Iphone 12 is eSim or not? Also you say with the Iphone 15 she would not be able to use any eSim service procided in France? Not really sure what she would be missing out on? Just want to make sure her phone would function for her (talk and text). Sorry not really up on all this eSim stuff and we don't ever travel overseas...

iPhone 12 has both sim slot and eSim. she should be able to use iPhone 12, but not iPhone 15 if you purchased via this deal as it is going to be locked to xfinity.

I have travelled to Dubai, India and Europe and have used eSim. The eSim activation process was smooth for me. There is an App called Airalo and I usually purchase eSim from them.

Older version of iphone (13 and older) they have physical sim slot (just pop in any sim card and it works) and esim (you don't need a physical sim card). New model (14 and up), there is only esim which you have to activate with whoever the carrier is. If your daughter planning to use other carrier than XM, the phone need to be unlocked. Which XM won't unlock unless you paid it off . However, if you paid off the phone to have it unlock, you're forfeiting the monthly credit with XM.

Her iphone 15 will be locked to XM for 2 years, so she cannot use a esim from any other provider during that 2 year period. A lot of people when they travel international like to use a esim/sim from the local country because it is a lot cheaper and affordable. A regular sim card is generally easier to acquire than a esim because the esim is still new tech. By buying a iphone 15 from XM using this deal, you cannot get a physical sim (because there is no physical sim slot) and you cannot use a esim from the foreign country, Basically, if you want data or phone capabilities in a foreign country, the only option with this phone is to pay xfinity for international plan, which is $10 a day and kinda a rip off. That is the trade off with buying a locked phone. To directly answer your question, If she wants to talk and text while abroad with a iphone 15 from XM with this deal, you will have to pay the $10 a day.

Now there are other options that are bit more budget friendly and you can look those up on travel blogs and whatnot. I personally just accepted that my phone is locked for 2 years and have an unlocked phone as back-up if I do travel internationally. I am also ok with using mostly wifi when at the hotel etc.

The iPhone XR allows you to get full $830 trade-in credit for the iPhone 15 Pro. It costs about $220 on Amazon. The total cost of the Pro after the 24 monthly bill credits would be $169. After tax, an entirely new iPhone 15 Pro would be around $500.

Just putting this out there. Do with it what you will.

Thanks for the tip. I wasn't thinking about it at the time but my son has an iPhone X. I just cancelled my order from this morning and reordered with a trade in for the X for $600 so half off the pro max for me. I can give him my 12 pro max. Win win.
