Your original comment contains no context except 10ah gets 15 miles. Maybe your 10ah experience is 36v battery, who knows. I am actually providing my own real worth experience numbers from a battery that has less capacity but gets better range than you are suggesting.
At least give an idea of what bike and battery you are using to get a that number. Maybe you are a 300lb fatty, who knows. But don't throw or make up a number with no context and act like you know what you talking about.
Data available online suggest that usage of 25Wh per miles for a 175 person and up and down 5Wh per miles for heavier or lighter person.

Seems like that is the weight, 57lbs. No shocks, no fenders, smaller battery and motor. Makes sense I guess, other than that it's pretty much the engwe ep-2 pro that I have. I would pay the extra $200 for those features but that is just me. The engwe is like borderline acceptable, this seems below acceptable but could work for certain people.

You said, "Data available online suggest that usage of 25Wh per miles for a 175 person and up and down 5Wh per miles for heavier or lighter person."
So lets go back to what you claimed, that your 48v 7.5ah bike gets YOU 17 miles. Now lets do the math:
48v x 7.5ah = 360wh
360wh / 25 = 14.4 miles (estimated)
Now what I said, "10ah battery. You realistically are only getting 15 miles on throttle on flat ground."
Also, since you refuse to state your weight, it is apparent you weight less than the average person. Why do I say average male? Because that is what every manufacturer and YOUR OWN STATED AVERAGE use when computing range estimates.
I didn't explicitly state weight because an intelligent person should realize I'm giving an average which is a better general statement than saying how my personal experience relates to a single product I DON'T OWN and neither do you.
You tell me I have to give out my weight to get a reference, yet your own reply gives no info but a 10ah battery.
Good god. Lol.
