Ordered 2 of the 8k units from Amazon a couple of weeks ago.

It took close to 2 hours to install the first, between my reading the instructions and watching the install video a dozen times... The second install took less than an hour once I was familiar with and confident of the process.

Installing was easy in hindsight.

They do a great job cooling our bedrooms and will serve to ease the load of the central unit, reducing overall power consumption.

You don't want to use the ION feature anyway. This activates an ionizer, which will add a negative charge to small particles, which will fall to the floor instead of remaining suspended in air. Sounds good. But it also generates ozone, a lung irritant that's not healthy to breathe.

Got one delivered yesterday from an earlier deal. Have not set it up but interestingly the manufactured date was Feb 2022.

Gotta say, I love my 12k Midea. Weighs much less than the old 12k unit it replaced and is so much quieter. Tempted to get one an 8k too.

Got this ac at Home Depot a couple of months ago. Paid much more for it since I held off purchasing until a heat wave, but well worth the money. SUPER quiet.

I love the wifi Frigidaire AC units. Currently own 2, the others are non wifi. It so clutch being able to turn them when we are away from the house. Wish all of my units were wifi compatible lol

Ok so apparently these are on backorder at Home Depot (I ordered originally last Thursday), and mine is expected to ship on 9/21. Guess I'll return that one if the Amazon one makes it here in one piece.

I have a 12k unit I installed a couple months ago in our master bedroom, and have been very impressed with it so far. Getting the smaller one for another bedroom to supplement the single zone central air.
