Nice find! These are OEM for Honda/Acura.

edit: Even thought the product page shows in stock for shipping, they show unavailable in checkout.

I usually get the rotor + pad sets from rock auto. Even the premium ones are pretty cheap ~$100.

OEM engineering also states up to 10,000 miles between oil changes for ideal driving conditions and lifetime transmission fluid. The same OEM engineering is also pressured by executives in MARKETING to sell their products as low maintenance and cost effective. Just saying ...you decide.

I agree with the people saying rock auto and rotors with pads... at least for the fronts.

Turning rotors seems like a waste of time, if it costs $20-$30 per rotor... and you have to drive to a shop to do it... after you have brake dust all over your arms.

Akebono pads are one of the best O.E spec replacement pads you can get.

and if you have O.E rotors (still serviceable?), turn them. they are way better than local auto parts store brands.

if not, go with brembo blanks or napa premium rotors.

Yeah and Scotty says turning it makes them thin so heat will affect the rotors and warp them sooner.

So you believe Scotty knows more than the oem engineers that have done testing to prove it is OK and has been proven right with more than 50 years of actual experience by mechanics all over the world?

It is just not worth the hassle of taking your rotors out, use another car to take them to the machine shop, pay, wait, take them back, and put them together losing half a day or more. Just pay a little more and have brand new.

I'm for 1. Time to see what Scotty swears by.

Also +1 for never turn them crew. New rotors only cost slightly more than turning them. Plus in the north they turn into rust discs after a couple years. I usually change mine around 60-80k miles.

Yeah I am in SF near the ocean and alot of fog and all my rotors have some rust in them and especially my 05 Nissan Titan rear rotors which is the original is just caked with rust on the edges and hat surface (any area that is not contacting brake pads).

Reading is good, but reading comprehension is much, much better. Read the post again, then take your bow please.
Knowing car vernacular is even better. Nobody, and I mean nobody calls pads for both axles "a set". A set of pads is something for one axle. Also, BMW, as most cars, use up front pads significantly faster than rears, so there is no need to replace them at the same time. That is true for my street cars as well as race car.

But you be you.

Turning rotors has been recommended and done for years. Not anymore, not for the last 20 years or so.
