No, the P262 4-mode 1/2" has been on sale for very little but that's a completely different impact with about half the ugga-duggas as this one.
This is the one everyone wants and it doesn't go on sale very often, and it has not been below $159 except once for a VERY short amount of time because of essentially a pricing mistake at the time.

This will be front page by tomorrow if it doesn't expire first.

Good deal, this thing is an absolute beast and $159 is the historically "slick" price.
Just be aware, it's big and heavy so it won't fit in tight places and you probably won't want to wield it all day every day but it will take just about anything off and auto-mode keeps it from zipping lugs into oblivion.
Get it!

Agreed, its been on my buy list for a long time.

Edit: rechecked my receipt, I got this over a year ago paid $103.80 just for the tool and waited a long time for the deal to show up, was a hack as well. At this price this is a good deal. Maybe not if you already have a ton of 4ah batteries and charges.

Correct, the comparison between impact wrenches is on the product page.

I bought the P262 about 2 weeks ago and was shocked at how big it was, heavy and thick. Not compact at all, especially since I wanted to do a brake job with it.

Curious and a bit disappointed, i went to home depot yesterday and compared the p262 and this current one on sale and was shocked again to see that this one is actually the same size as the p262!! Obviously i couldn't tell the weight by hand but they felt similar in weight as well.
Why would anyone get the p262 when this one is the same size and has a higher rated torque.
This $159 sale was on sale the past few weeks too but I went with the hackable p262 deal where the tool only cost me $87 or so thinking it was going to be more compact but nope! Its not.

I ended up seeing an in store deal for a dewalt atom impact with ratchet kit and power battery for $239 that i will compare at home and may just go with that. I wish Ryobi had better compact options…

Edit: Sorry I was wrong. The wrong models must have been out at home depot at the time so i got confused.

I bought the sale they had going on 2 week or so ago with the p262 and 3 batteries. Do you think it's worth it to return that tool and buy this deal instead?

They are not the size or weight at all. In fact, it's not even that close. I had the P262 but returned it and got this one for more power.

I would agree they look very similar, scale aside.

A brake job... I'd hope you were doing rotors too because this is completely not needed for brakes.

Yes rotors too. When does someone change brakes without doing rotors nowadays on modern cars? This isnt 1998. Rotors are thinner now and weigh less to provide better fuel economy. By the time brakes are done, rotors need to be changed too.

Even if it was only brakes. Im not hand loosening 20 lugs nuts. What the hell are you talking about?

I have this and it's good. The batteries get killed easily though at least when used on their cheaper devices (the fan they sell has killed two or three of my batteries).

This is absolutely a deal because a)it comes with battery and charger and b) torque enough to take off lug nuts. If you go with any other brand, you'll easily spend $300 combined. I did some research and settled on the DeWalt DCF891 but it's way too expensive for what I need it for(occasional tire rotation). I had a breaker bar and I was able to use that to rotate my tires. This is very tempting at this price.
