Not sure why you're down voted for this. I can say with the utmost confidence that the US General side cabinet I was eyeing 2 months ago was $99.99. I had other priorities and didn't make the trip. Now it's varying wildly by color, with most at $199.99. (Yellow seems to be the discounted color at $149.99.) That is before the coupon.
It wasn't a priority then and it's definitely not now, so I will continue to hold off.

They just phased out gen 2 and moved to gen 3 for a lot (all?) of the US General stuff.

The gen 2 got really discounted. You might be comparing a liquidation price to a retail price.

Don't go there for electric battery tools (drills, etc). Get Milwaukee or Ryobi or Ridgid instead.

However, their hand tools like sockets, ratchets, wrenches, and hammers are fine for the DIYer. Their torque wrenches are lifetime warranty. Their Pittsburgh value screwdrivers stink bs of the cheap rubber handle grip that flakes off. I prefer Husky or Kobalt value line to these.

Likewise, their Pittsburgh and Daytona floor jacks and jack stands are pretty good. The jack stands had a recall and they redesigned them with a safety pin (like many others now).

They also have stuff that are cheaper than anywhere. Outlet adapters, compressor fittings, compressor hoses, garden equipment, tarps, wheels, storage bins, drill bits, etc. However, I always look at Amazon or eB** first to see if there is something cheaper or comparable in price so that I don't have to drive.

I would say one of their best value are their organizer storage bins on sale. $6.99 or $9.99 (large size).

Great post. I would also add those magnetic dishes that go on sale for like $3. Having a couple of those around makes everything from assembling furniture to small projects a lot easier.

My shot answer - HF got overpriced in the past 3 years...... I expect HF to lower prices in the next 6 months, or they loose remaining buyers...
And I think we're starting to see just that: Some re-pricing going on, and none of it upward. Methinks they just made a profit grab, and overstepped; paying the price now

Lol, can tell you don't do much wrenching.
Sorry, didn't realize the member asking about a $20 breaker bar was going to use it for their ASE mechanic job working on big rigs.

They're just going to do a tire rotation on a passenger car. If it doesn't loosen, push harder or add a cheater bar. If it breaks, walk into any HF for a free lifetime replacement.

But hey, gatekeep away in a HF thread.

So true. Had a friend who invested hundreds of dollars in the Harbor Freight Lynxx brand (chainsaw, leaf blower, pole saw, trimmer, hedge trimmer, etc.), and then HF discontinued the brand, including replacement batteries. When his last Lynxx battery dies, so does all his Lynxx tools.

https://m.facebook.com/harborfrei...3223957569
Plenty of other tool manufacturers have changed their battery format after a number of years. If no third party makes a replacement then pop the battery cases open and put new batteries in it(matching the the originals). There are many youtube videos. It's not that difficult. Or someone will create an adapter.

Or everyone can cry about it on FB and hate on HF... everyone gets to choose.

However I'm going to help you help FB since I didn't see the answer in the limited view I get and I will not go on FB for anything.

The question was "where can I get a 40V charger for a Lynxx battery. HF said they are all gone. What you want is a lipo battery charger discharger with balance [amazon.com]. I have a Turnigy Accucel-6 80W and paid $41 for it in 2017. I can charge any battery I want including batteries that have been modded to be used on platforms they weren't intended for like a Hercules battery that works on a Dewalt.

I have a Harbor Freight really close to the new house I just moved to and I have literally never been in one of the stores. Do people like the store better than Lowes or Home Depot?

You got thumbs down for asking a question. Typical.

Who said anything about thumbing down the thread? I have been shopping there for more than twenty years and I am just sharing my observations as others have chimed in with the same sentiment. They are no longer the bargain they used to be with some exceptions.

If an item already has a member-only deal price, can you still apply the coupon for that item? Because when you click on a coupon and then the next page lists all the items that coupon would apply to, some of those items have a itc member-only price. For example, on the BADLAND winch coupon, if you click on it, the next page will have a Badland ZXR 12000lb winch that is selling for $299.99 for ITC member-only. So will the 20% ITC member coupon apply?
You need to sign in first, then click on the link from the email. I had to do that to get it to show up. It's not ON TOP OF the $299 deal. The ITC member price is $299, which is still pretty good.
