The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".
If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.
What is activation fee anymore ,!! Just another fee from older times

is Boost infinite a good deal for $60 per month? You get the latest iphone every year and get unlimited text/data/calls. whats the catch? the boost unlimited plan by itself is $25 per month, so its $35 per month for the new iphone or $420 per year, good deal?

Even if I trade other phone, I still loose the credits right? My mom has unlocked iPhone 11 so I can give 13 pro to her and trade in her phone.
Yes, unless you do it on another line. You can get the 15 on your mom's line, then use 15 on your line, use 13 on her line, and sell/trade in the 11. Now you get to keep the current credit and gain the 15's credit.

Where do you see new line only, when I look at the deal it says New and Upgrade qualify for the $100 shop card. I see where they say $100 bill credit is for new lines and $50 is for upgrades but the shop card looks like it is for both.
When click on the "see offer details". But it's alright, I just called to confirm. As you long as you choose the installment plan, you qualify for $100 shop card and $50 bill credit.

i'm on Verizon's towers with two phones and an ultra watch for $60 a month. every year I get the brand new iPhone that comes out and I normally only pay three to $400 out of the pocket. so I pay about $660 a year for Verizon coverage with unlimited everything and I'm always on the newest iPhone. that's individual price you can obviously multiply as needed.

I read somewhere if you pay device off early, you loose remaining credits on ATT even if you continue with their service. Tmobile does NOT as of 2 years ago. I am not sure about now due to no good promo.
Short Answer: They do not as of 3 months ago. I have done so numerous times.

Long Answer: I bought an iphone 11 from the Walmart deal to trade in for the iPhone 14 pro. Traded in the phone and started getting credits, also paid off the phone prior to the end of the first month. I addition to starting the Costco $5 per month for 10 months credits I received 2 months of credits, $22.23 and the 3rd month it took away the $22.23 and gave me 3 credits of $9.72, which is the amount for $350. They told me upon contacting them via twitter that the phone I sent in did not power on. I told them that can't be the case as it was new. After sending them photos of my receipt, I got a call from AT&T support and they gave me a $450 credit on my bill since they couldn't figure out how to change the credit amount. They did all of this knowing that the phone was paid off.

Another fun fact. I went to Costco today (it has an AT&T) to upgrade 2 lines and to add a new line and the first employee I talked to said they only do people that switch phone companies. Then a second employee overheard and said I would be better off ordering it online and told me it would be easy. I waited for the third employee and he said it was no problem, the first employee was surprised, the second one just walked away. I was told I can actually bring in the phones there and he would process the trade ins which might save some aggravation regarding the trade ins. The sad part about the second employee is that she was sent in from another state to help this weekend and she didn't even know what could be done.

No, the 75 plan limit is just a reference to the current lowest tier unlimited plan (starter I think), which is 75 for a single line (but 65 after autopay discounts). The other two unlimited plans are higher than that.

Also you can enter upgrade checkout flow from the Costco links. You have to click around on the top of the webpage on anything that looks like an ATT wireless symbol to get redirected to ATT log-in page, and after you log in, it will recognize your plan, and add the new iPhone as an upgrade instead of a new line.
I've been hunting and poking for just such a link. But I haven't been able to find a way to get to a login interface.

Update: I finally figured it out - I had to tap the account icon (top right) immediately when the page loaded, before the Costco overlay appeared over it.

geez, for the free phone it's 36 months of bill credits. When we got our iPhone 13 it was 30 months.
Yup. That's why I pay for it outright at the Apple Store upon trade-in. Even with the credits the postpaid plans are massively expensive.

EXACTLY! It's about time to wake up. I cut my monthly bill to a fraction of what I used to pay by going with a pre-paid plan. As for the phone, you can trade in your old one and/or other Apple devices towards a new - unlocked - phone. Like you said, it didn't add up to go with those promos.

Not according to this: https://forums.att.com/conversati...23e7d04742
Probably a big YMMV. Do it at your own risk.
I wonder if switching phone, but not upgrading will discontinue the credit. Seems like the people on the thread kept using the same phone after paying it off.
