The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

I live in a dense area where I need to use Verizon post paid service, otherwise I will not get good signal quality. Can't use MVNO's because they will get deprioritized service. There's a reason why it's $25/mo. It's not just cheaper because they feel like it.

Families plans with att especially 4-5 lines and corp discounts 25% off (doctors nurses teachers etc). Means it cost around $26-35 a line. Plus getting att promo trade in

I understand people think for themselves who have 1-2 lines.

But those of us who have 4-5 lines and access to corp monthly discounts are better off staying with att.

My monthly att bill for 4 lines (unlimited elite plus hot spot and att ($2.50 surcharge now) plus 3 other lines unlimited extra plus hot spot is $160/month including taxes. Also includes $3-5/month iPhone 14 pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max monthly payments (with monthly credits).

So it's not a bad deal to stick with att post paid with 4-5 lines.

Higher monthly payments. If you have their Go5G Plus or Go5G Next, you'll qualify for up to $1000 credits. If Magenta MAX, up to $650 credits... Go5G and Magenta $350 credits, $200 for most other plans.

I would do some tests with TMobile before you switched over to them. I had them for more than 11 years and finally give up and left them right before Legere left them. At one time, their prices and all was great. But constant network congestion in places like Downtown LA, etc. and their level 2 support admits it's due to congestion for me getting dial up speed at certain times of the day was one of the many factors.

Best bang for the buck is if you already have a family plan on a higher tier, and planning to stay with AT&T in the long run.
We have 4 phones and 2 watches with AT&T. We pay ~$185.00 per month (we have the educator's discount).
2 of the phones are on the AT&T Elite plan (I think it has been replaced by another plan). We do get free HBO as that was part of the older plan. We upgrade every 2-3 years. I do similar deals as I am happy with AT&T and do not plan to leave it. If you call them or chat with them politely there is a very high probability that they would waive off the activation fee. I have yet to be denied. Just sharing my experience.

Mint uses the 3rd ranked network, so you get what you pay for.

It depends, for myself for example with 5 lines it bring their most expensive plan normally $85 to $45 month and and with employee discount it bring their it further bring it to $35 month per line which is really cheap/affordable.
