The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

Yes, you can upgrade a phone on an existing Elite Plan line and keep your existing plan.

If you have 2+ on a plan, this is waived. Only applies to a a single line.

If I already upgraded 4 lines through AT&T last week, any way to get the Costco deal applied retroactively? Looks like the same basic deal, but of course as a member I'd like the Costco GCs.

I plan to contact AT&T on this. Typically in the past, when I upgraded it showed the plans we were going to be on and did not change them. So hoping that it wouldn't be any different before I hit upgrade.
