The fine print says minimum qualified plan is 75/mo. That's where they get you with these "free deals" - locking you in at high monthly rate for 3 yrs.

Quick math assuming you are ok with Visible/Mint at $30/mo - overpaying by $45/mo for 36=$1620, that's what you are paying for the "free iphone".

If you live in an area which has good coverage then better buy an unlocked phone and get a carrier of your choice than getting robbed by these guys for 36 months.
I have an unlocked phone & pay $20 per month for service. Can't be happier.

C'mon ATT. Friends that ordered direct though Apple had theirs on release day. Evidently getting a color instead of plain must delay things? My blue pro max says it will ship by early Oct and white pro max by late Oct. I was hoping that was a conservative estimate but no action yet on first phone.

Yeah we did it over the weekend. Didn't make an appointment or anything. Just walked in, gave them our trade in phone and got a receipt. Make sure to get a receipt.

My original estimate was mid-October delivery but I actually ended up getting my phone a couple days after the release date.

Tungsten doesn't transmit heat as well.
The "fix" will probably be slowing down the processor.

Isn't direct deal from AT&T better than Costco offer with the added $200 billing credit on top of trade-in credit?? You have to pay $35 Activation Fee, but still would come out better....

This is not how it works. You can check if you can trade in a device, for example, an iPhone 13, which is usually worth $380 in the market, but they are offering only $1000 for it
