If you played the original on GC/PS2 and have an itch to play it again, this updated version is a good option because it increases the game's overall speed through QoL additions. However, many of the repercussions of being bad at farming are removed, such as animal deaths, which some may find more relaxing or less complex.
I enjoyed my time with it due to nostalgia, but there are way better farming games out there (like Stardew Valley).

Buy it for the nolstalgia. If new to the series or farming sims, there are better alternatives. I loved this game on the gamecube, flaws and all.
