Why on earth would you want crappy built in speakers on a monitor? Get decent stand alone speakers or a good headset. This is an actual quality monitor, not some midrange POS.

I've been waiting on a monitor to use for both work and gaming so I've ruled out OLED as I don't want to deal with burn in. For a 32" 4k IPS monitor that can do 144Hz for use with work and gaming, is this the best there is now? Anything better on the horizon worth waiting for around this price range?
Check out recommendations from rtings.com. Generally, it looks like highly-rated gaming monitors also score well for Office use. You might also look at the tradeoffs between IPS and VA panel types.

Dell Outlet has this refurbished if you're willing to accept $100 savings for a 90-day warranty.

Outlet used to have these for $399......

$100 off for a refurbished unit is not worth it.

OLED and I'll bite, even if it's double the price
Looks like early next year for Asus ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM (32" 4K 240Hz). Sounds like its going to be around $1500 though, at least at launch.

I'm surprised this doesn't have speakers.

Dell usually have built-in speaker on their monitors
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX3210U was on sale for the same price about a month ago with pretty much the exact same specs. It has the best monitor speakers I've ever heard from a monitor. If you're looking for a monitor with good speakers, then the EX3210U is the way to go. But you can definitely get a cheap Logitech surround system for your pc that'll sound better than any monitor speakers you can find. The only reason I was say to go for a monitor with speakers is for a cleaner setup

So you're telling me that I'll get to my destination/result no matter which monitor I pick?

Thanks for making my point for me
I mean, you'll get the same place picking up a 19-inch 768p one for $50 from Goodwill, too, why don't you do that instead?

I keep checking with the outlet hoping it drops to $399 that it was a couple times before, but nope. The outlet rarely fluctuates with the price of a new unit. It's steadily been $499 irrespective of whether or not new cost $599 or $799.

Because it's not a high refresh rate gaming monitor that's larger than 32"?
So if you can tell the difference between sizes and refresh rates, why can't you wrap your head around differences in panel types and resolutions?

There's always that one guy...

For 4K144hzIPS with a decent size, this is the best deal I've seen.

The mobiuz is definitely on my alert list. However, I prefer the 27in model.

I should have pulled the trigger when it was on sale for $399......

This was the price last year during Black Friday, but there was the amex discount on top which made it juicy.
I picked up this monitor at the time with the Amex promo, it's been great.

Lots of inputs, works flawlessly with a MacBook, a PC and PS5 at 120hz via the HDMI 2.1. Great for productivity and gaming and of course 4K resolution.

I personally wouldn't want to go any larger for a desktop but YMMV.

Can confirm from personal experience, this monitor is awesome for work, especially if you work with big/multiple spreadsheets or documents that can take advantage of the extra resolution. Paired with MS PowerToys, just the 1 monitor is enough for me. Makes me want to buy a 4k monitor for the work office...
