This is a small travel router that connects to an ethernet port of an existing network, OR can be connected to an existing Wi-Fi network and used to create your own personal Wi-Fi network but this router uses a VPN to mask your traffic when used.
It can also be used on Visible to share a phone connection with multiple devices but you will be required to use a TTL hack to make it work.
1. Connect phone/laptop to captive login wifi.
2. Connect GL.iNet to power
3. Log in to GL.iNet web interace
4. Change GL.iNet router MAC address to the same as that of your phone/laptop.
5. Connect GL.Inet to hotel WiFi, and it'll work.
Side note, I have this and it works great, the VPN works well too.

Ideally, get something with PD.
This expects 3A @ 5V, so you couldn't use a standard USB-A connection without drawing from multiple ports. Those multiplex adapters do work, but I wouldn't plug them into anything expensive.

It comes with a nifty power supply that has different plugs for international use, but the potted cable is woefully short and the supply is a bit bigger.
This router does run hotter than I would have expected although I've never heard the fan operate. If you plug a USB thumb drive in that has an aluminum housing (e.g. Micron) the drive gets very hot even when not in use.
